Try your hand at Chinese BBQ with this recipe for Char Siu Pork. It’s a classic Asian dish that brings sticky-sweet and savory flavor to every bite. Mix the pure flavor of McCormick® ginger, cinnamon and crushed red pepper with ketchup, brown sugar and soy sauce for an easy 15-minute marinade. After baking pork, brush with extra marinade and broil until it’s lightly charred … and ready to devour.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix all ingredients, except pork, in small bowl until well blended. Reserve 2 tablespoons for brushing.
Place pork in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add remaining marinade; turn to coat well. Refrigerate 15 minutes or longer for extra flavor. Remove pork from marinade into shallow baking pan. Discard any remaining marinade.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until desired doneness. Remove from oven. Brush pork with reserved marinade. Broil 5 to 10 minutes or until pork is lightly charred.
