In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy; beat in orange marmalade and almond extract. If desired, place cream cheese mixture in a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip.
If using strawberries, figs or cherries, slice off a small portion of the stem ends; set aside. If using cherries or apricots, pit them. Pipe or spoon cream cheese mixture on top of fruit. If using strawberries, figs or cherries, replace stem ends of fruit.
Serve immediately or cover and chill for up to 1 hour before serving.
