In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender, using a wooden spoon to break up meat as it cooks. Drain off fat.
Stir beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, macaroni, chile peppers, chili powder and garlic salt into meat mixture in skillet. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, about 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring often. Serve with cheese.
