Ingredients

  • Spiced Pork Chops
  • 2 teaspoons loose black tea, such as English breakfast
  • 1 teaspoon packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Chinese Five Spice Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground McCormick® Whole Black Pepper
  • 1 pinch McCormick® Ground Cayenne Red Pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 4 boneless center-cut pork chops, (1/2-inch thick), trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Citrus Slaw
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Crushed Red Pepper
  • 1 package (12 ounces) broccoli slaw
  • 2 large seedless oranges, peeled and sectioned
  • 1 small red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Preheat electric countertop or panini grill large enough to hold 4 pork chops.
  • 2 For the Pork Chops, place first 6 ingredients in clean coffee grinder. Pulse to coarsely chop tea. Transfer to small bowl. Add orange peel; mix until well blended. Brush pork chops with oil. Rub with tea mixture. Let stand at room temperature while preparing Citrus Slaw.
  • 3 For the Citrus Slaw, mix vinegar, honey, oils and red pepper in large bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Add broccoli slaw, oranges, bell pepper and green onions; toss to coat well. Cover. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • 4 Brown rounded sides of pork chops by standing chops upright on grill, turning as the sides brown. Place pork chops, flat side, on grill. Close lid. Cook about 8 minutes or until pork is desired doneness. Transfer pork chops to serving plates. Let stand 3 minutes. Divide Citrus Slaw among plates.
