Cook ground beef and vegetables in large skillet on medium-high heat until meat is no longer pink, stirring occasionally. Drain fat.
Stir in beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce and Seasoning Mix. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and onion.
Great taste. I add lots of chopped onion, carrots and green peppers to up the veggie content. Even better the next day.

The McCormick Chili Mix, Original package says to add the canned kidney beans, undrained, but this recipe says to add them drained and rinsed. I thought that the canned bean liquid thickened the chili? I've made the basic recipe on package before and it was perfect, but I haven't prepared this one yet with the additions of: onions, peppers and tomato sauce. I'll prepare it exactly as stated in this recipe ie drain and rinse the kidney beans. Nancy 2/6/2016
