  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 cube Italian Flavor Cubes Seasoning
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) petite diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 8 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 container (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

  • Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 5 minutes until softened. Add Flavor Cube; crush with spoon or spatula until crumbled. Add ground beef; cook and stir until browned.

  • Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and water; cook 5 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat. Transfer meat sauce to a large bowl.

  • Spread 1 1/2 cups of the sauce in bottom of skillet. Place 4 of the lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spoon 1 cup of the remaining sauce evenly over noodles. Dollop half of the ricotta cheese evenly over the sauce and top with 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella. Layer with remaining noodles and spread 1 cup of the remaining sauce over top. Top with remaining ricotta and finally any remaining sauce. Cover.

  • Cook on low heat 15 minutes or until noodles are tender. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Cover. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
