Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 13-by-9-inch baking pan; set aside.
Beat 1 egg in a medium bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy and light colored. Stir in butterscotch topping. Fold in pecans and coconut; set aside.
Beat butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Beat in brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in cooled chocolate, the remaining 2 eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; beat or stir into the chocolate mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread in the prepared pan; spread the nut mixture over the batter. Bake for about 35 minutes or until golden and set. Cool in the pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
