A Less Gross Way to Butter a Cake Pan

A Less Gross Way to Butter a Cake Pan

PureWow

Step 1 of baking a cake: Butter and flour the pan to avoid stick-age. OK, so you wrap a stick of butter in a paper towel, hoping to keep your hands clean, but after two swipes you’re covered in grease. Ugh. Here’s a better way.

What you need: A stick of butter and a Ziploc bag.

What you do: Put your hand inside the Ziploc bag, then use it as a mitt to grab the butter and spread it around the pan like you normally would.

Simple as that. Now you can get back to worrying about more important things, like what kind of icing you’re going to whip up.
