Cook egg noodles as directed on package. Drain well.
Meanwhile, brown ground beef and onion in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat. Add tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix and water; stir until well blended. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in egg noodles. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Cook 5 minutes on low heat or until cheese is melted.
Made this for the first time this evening...was looking for inexpensive, simple, and delicious meals to serve a family of five. My children really loved it, so did I!! Added we xtra cheese n had grated cheese on the table. Served it with a salad and buttered bread.

I made this for a church pot luck. The bowl was empty when I picked it up to take home. "Guess everyone liked it". The only change I made was to use a 16 oz. jar (I doubled the recipe) of pizza sauce instead of the tomato sauce. I still added the spaghetti sauce mix w/mushrooms.
