Mix seasonings in medium bowl. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons over salmon. Reserve remaining seasoning mixture in bowl. Set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Place salmon, skin-side up, in skillet. Cook 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, add sugar and remaining 2 teaspoons oil to reserved seasoning mixture; mix well. Add fennel and tomatoes; toss to coat. Turn salmon fillets. Place fennel mixture around salmon in skillet. Cook 6 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve with lemon wedges.

I fixed this according to directions. This recipe is fabulous. I love salmon and have been searching for different ways to cook it (normally grill or broil). The flavor is similar to a sweet teriyaki, but not quite. The fennel contributes a great deal to the flavor. With it's flavor, it somehow balances it to just the right flavor and sweetness. I highly recommend this recipe.

I found this recipe in a magazine ad for McCormick seasonings. Fixed it with onions not fennel bulb. left out the sugar (watching sugar intake) and we LOVE it. I prepare it at least once a week. My husband never liked salmon steaks, now this is his favorite dish. The recipe does not include enough of your seasoning so I have doubled it and am only preparing 2 skinless salmon steaks for the two of us. I have shared the recipe with several of my friends. Never had much luck with salmon, the taste was always so mild and no matter what the marinade or seasoning it was just never a favorite....until now! So easy and the flavor was wonderful. This is my recipe default for salmon from now on, can't wait to make it for a few guests. thank you! Ray

I found this recipe when looking for a quick, healthy salmon dish. I couldn't get fennel here this time of year so substituted green onion and it was a huge hit! My 20 month old grandson at all of his and helped the rest of us with ours as well. The flavor was amazing and I can't believe how easy it was to make. This will be my go-to salmon recipe from here on out!
