For the Apple Pie Vinaigrette, mix apple cider, vinegar, brown sugar and apple pie spice in small bowl with wire whisk. Gradually add oil, whisking until well blended.
For the Salad, cover apple slices with cold water. Add lemon juice. Let stand until ready to serve. Toss lettuce, drained apples, cheese and cranberries in large bowl. Drizzle with vinaigrette; toss lightly. Divide among salad plates. Sprinkle with glazed walnuts.
This is a great and delicious salad.

Very good salad. I went easy on the oil, not quite 1/4 cup (but I always cut back on that). I also threw in a handful of nice dried cranberries. Salad was delicious and enjoyed by all

There is not enough oil. It needs to be about twice as much. Vinaigrette is a 3 (oil) to 1 (vinegar) ratio. When I made it as the recipe shows everything separated before I could even get the lid off the jar (after shaking). I put in 9 T of olive oil and it maintains long enough to pour.
