INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 For the Steak, mix all ingredients except steaks in small bowl. Place steaks in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add marinade; turn to coat well. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours. Remove steaks from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade
  • 2 Meanwhile, for the Dipping Sauce, mix sake, soy sauce, honey and crushed peppercorn mélange in small bowl. Stir in green onions. Set aside
  • 3 Grill steaks over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Slice steaks and serve with warmed Dipping Sauce

TIPS AND TRICKS

Miso is a flavoring in Japanese cooking. The paste is made by fermenting grains and salt. It may be found in the Asian aisle of some supermarkets, Asian grocery stores and health foods stores.

Sake is available wherever fine wines are sold. It may also be found in the Asian aisle of some supermarkets or in Asian grocery stores.

To crush peppercorns, place peppercorns in large resealable plastic bag. Close tightly. Pound with a rolling pin, mallet or heavy skillet until coarsely crushed.
