Ingredients 8 (1-cup) Servings

  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon Zatarain's® New Orleans Style Creole Seasoning
  • 2 pounds beef stew meat, trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons oil, divided
  • 1 package (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms substitution Substitutions available
    • 1 can (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 package ZATARAIN'S® Southern Stroganoff Pasta Dinner Mix

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Mix flour and Creole Seasoning in medium bowl. Coat beef with flour mixture. Heat oil in large deep skillet or Dutch oven on medium-high heat. Add beef in batches; cook until browned on all sides. Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil as needed. Return beef to skillet. Add mushrooms, onion and carrots; cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • 2 Mix broth, water and tomato paste in medium bowl. Pour over beef and vegetables. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 1 hour or until beef is tender, stirring occasionally
  • 3 Stir in Pasta Dinner Mix. Bring to boil on medium heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally
