INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 HEAT oven to 400°F. Place Crispy Fried Onions into plastic bag. Crush with hands or rolling pin.Transfer to pie plate or waxed paper.
  • 2 PLACE flour into separate plastic bag. Toss chayote pieces in flour; shake off excess.
  • 3 DIP chayote pieces into beaten egg; then coat in onion crumbs, pressing firmly to adhere.
  • 4 PLACE chayote pieces in a single layer on lightly greased rack set over rimmed baking sheet. Bake 10 to 15 min. or until tender.
