  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 package ZATARAIN'S® Southern Barbecue Rice Mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 6 hamburger rolls, toasted

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef in large skillet on medium-high heat 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Drain fat.

  • Stir water, tomato sauce, Rice Mix, onion, bell pepper and brown sugar into skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender.

  • Sprinkle with cheese. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve on hamburger rolls.
