- 2 each medium sweet or yellow onions, sliced thick (1/3 - 1/2-inch thick)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons McCormick® Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoons McCormick® Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Cayenne Red Pepper
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Frank's RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Hot Sauce
- 2 cups panko bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil or canola oil, for frying
- Frank's RedHot® Roasted Garlic Dip'n Sauce

- HEAT a large pot over medium heat with 2 inches of oil. In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, onion powder, ground black pepper and cayenne pepper. Add half of the seasoning mixture to a medium bowl with the flour, eggs, milk, and FRANK'S RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce.
- MIX the remaining seasoning mix with the breadcrumbs. Separate the onion rings. Working in batches, dip each onion ring in the batter making sure to drip off any excess batter. Dredge the onion rings in the seasoned breadcrumbs and add them to a plate or sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- ONCE the oil reaches between 350°F - 365°F, begin frying the onion rings for 2 - 3 minutes or until they're crispy and golden brown. Remove the onion rings from the oil and allow them to cool on a wire rack or paper towels.
- SERVE warm with FRANK'S RedHot® Dip'n Roasted Garlic Sauce.
Test Kitchen Tips:
- Try making these in your Air-Fryer! Cook the onion rings in a 350°F air-fryer for 12 - 15 minutes or until crispy and fully cooked. Spray with a little non-stick cooking spray before cooking. Make sure to not over crowd the basket or tray.
- Try making these in your Oven! Cook the onion rings in a 400°F oven for 17 - 20 minutes or until crispy and fully cooked. Flip the onion rings halfway through for even cooking. Spray with a little non-stick cooking spray before baking.
