Baked penne reaches crazy-good flavor heights with this New Orleans twist. Zatarain’s® Cajun Hot Sauce adds the heat, while andouille sausage brings the smoke. Baked and topped with provolone for a tangy, melty finish, this meal is going to be a hit with the whole fam.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper; cook and stir 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Stir in water, tomatoes and hot sauce. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in pasta and sausage. Pour mixture into 13x9-inch baking dish. Cover with foil.
Bake 40 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. Remove foil. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
