Place potatoes in 2-quart saucepan. Cover with water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Drain and return potatoes to saucepan. Add garlic and salt.
Mash with potato masher, gradually adding milk, then butter. Stir in cheese and parsley.
Made this yesterday for Thanksgiving and my adopted daughter mashed and stirred in all ingredients. We got rave reviews! She loved them so much we are making them again today to go with our leftovers, since it was the one dish that was empty by the end of dinner!!
