Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ All Natural Ground Jamaican Allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon McCormick Gourmet™ Sicilian Sea Salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons McCormick Gourmet™ Organic Pure Vanilla Extract
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup chopped hazelnuts
INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, allspice and sea salt in medium bowl. Set aside. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed. Stir in chopped chocolate and hazelnuts.
- 2 Drop by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
- 3 Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
