  • 1 package (32 ounces) frozen French fries
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 package French's® Original Chili-O Seasoning Mix
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) petite diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Assorted toppings, optional

Instructions

  • Arrange fries in single layer on large foil-lined baking pan. Prepare using conventional oven method as directed on package. Remove from oven, but do not remove from pan.

  • Meanwhile, brown ground beef in large skillet; drain fat. Stir in Seasoning Mix, tomatoes and water. Bring to boil, stirring often. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Top hot fries with chili and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Return baking sheet to oven 4 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve topped with chopped green onions, sliced jalapeños, cilantro, black olives or sour cream, if desired.
