  • 1 package McCormick® Lasagna Soup Seasoning Mix
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 container (32 ounces) chicken stock (4 cups)
  • 8 ounces (about 10) lasagna noodles, broken into bite-size pieces
  • [Assorted Toppings:] ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese or fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in large saucepan on medium heat. Drain. Add onion; cook and stir 2 minutes or until softened.
  2. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Seasoning Mix and stock. Bring to boil. Stir in lasagna noodle pieces; cook 8 to 10 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
  3. Ladle soup into serving bowls. Serve with desired toppings.

Test Kitchen Tips:

  • Substitute 8 ounces of your favorite pasta, such as ziti, penne or farfalle in place of the lasagna noodles, cooking until noodles are tender.
  • Try with crumbled Italian sausage, ground chicken, ground turkey, or your favorite plant-based ground protein.
