- Coat beef with flour. Heat oil in large deep skillet or Dutch oven on medium heat. Add 1/2 of the beef; cook until browned on all sides. Repeat with remaining beef, adding additional oil, as needed. Return beef to skillet. Stir in Beef Stew Seasoning Mix, water and beer.
- Bring to boil. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add potatoes, celery, leeks and parsnips; return to simmer. Simmer 1 hour or until beef and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Serve with crusty bread, if desired.
