We love this rice as a side or to mix with chicken tenders and a hot and spicy duck sauce made with cayenne pepper, regular duck sauce and lemon juice. In making the rice we use pork sausage instead of ground beef. My husband uses the rice as a side, but I mix the rice with my chicken tenders and the flavors meld very well and remind me of sort of a sweet and sour chicken dish.

I've never liked rice but got some on a taco by mistake in a restaurant and liked it. So for taco night at home thought I'd get some that looked like the type at the restaurant and this looked like it. So I made it without adding the extra meat added to our tacos. I LOVED IT! MY NEW FAVORITE FOOD! Best food ever!

I thought it was wonderful. I did add the two optional ingredients listed on the package. One was olive oil, and I believe the other was cumin.

We too, got a box that was bland...but we waited over a month and bought a box at another retailer, and it was improved. Hope their manufacturing issues have been fixed! We all love this product.

We love to use this for an addition to burritos as well as taco dishes. Great added to chicken fingers plus Chinese sauces - tastes combine well!

We always look forward to "dirty rice night" when we are camping. This year everyone mentioned (actually complained about) the difference in the prepared dish. Bland was the word used most often, what the heck has happened?

Did this product recipe recently change? It used to have a nice little kick and was one of my favorite rice mixes, but the last few times I've made it, it tasted quite bland.

Just made a box of the dirty rice! Nothing like it was in the past. VERY BLAND! There was very small amounts of the peppers etc. my family has love this quick and easy dinner for years. Been a while since we have had it and I will not purchase it agai! Posted pics on Facebook of ingredients and box and what I actually made! So sad!! ☹️

I agree with the other comments. This was a meal at my house every week. It was actually one of the few meals I could fix that everyone loved but not anymore. The first box I got that had very little flavor I chalked up to a bad batch but that's not the case because I have purchased it two other times at different stores and it is just not good anymore. If the recipe has changed I wish they would change it back!

I agree with Reuben, I made this last night and it had no flavor at all. It's been one of our favorites for years but I don't see myself buying it again.

I knew it wasn't just me. I'm upset the recipe changed. Leave well enough alone. My Sunday football staple is no more.

The amount of salt in the dirty rice reminded me of trips to the beach as a kid, & being inadvertently force fed gulps of the ocean by
