  • Hate the change in this product that I have used for 40+ years! Please change it back . I haven't found any flavor that is comparable to McCormick. I'm known for my delicious butter flavored fillings, frosting, and treats. Please help me keep my good reputation!!!

  • I agree with the disappointed. My product is horrible and this butter extract is not worthy the money wasted on it. I have always depended on McCormick's butter flavoring as my mother did as well. My family and friends are highly disappointed and dissatisfied and say my items are blah. I have always fought to keep them out of my food, but instead sat untouched and wanted in the fridge for weeks. I was finally hurt to have to throw out as that has not happened before. Please bring back the butter flavoring. I have also noticed that there is plenty of this product in the stores. Normally at this point I have a problem finding what I need. I believe others will also be disappointed when they learned you have taken the quality out of your product. I never thought this would happen and I hope you will reconsider your move to make this with the other ingredients instead of what you turned this into...it is soooo much better and lives up to your reputation. • I've used McCormick butter FLAVORING for years in a poppy seed bread recipe. Now you have substituted butter EXTRACT and the recipe does not come out the same. How can I get butter FLAVORING? I'm totally disappointed.

We are sorry to disappoint you, Martha, but our artificially flavored Butter Flavor is no longer available. In 2016, we reformulated our specialty extracts and have removed all artificial flavors and colors. We will forward your comments on to the appropriate personnel for review. Thank you for your feedback. ~Leslie

  • I've always used McCormick's BUTTER FLAVORING in my frosting and cookies but I haven't been able to find it so bought the BUTTER EXTRACT. It was AWFUL!! My family turned up their noses at the cookies I make every Sunday and asked what I did to them. The extract tasted nothing like butter! PLEASE BRING BACK THE BUTTER FLAVORING!! I unfortunately have 6 bottle of the butter extract and they are all going in the garbage.

  • I use the butter extract on vegetables and mashed potatoes or mashed cauliflower. Ive tried other brands but McCormick so far is the best although hard to find. Kroger's is disgusting I don't recommend trying theirs for any reason. McCormick actually tastes like butter.
