Our version of this classic Irish dish is made with prepared mashed potatoes, a few seasonings, frozen vegetables, ground beef and brown gravy — it's so simple, it practically makes itself! This shepherd's pie comes together in under an hour and is full of hearty ingredients — a great option for a chilly night or anytime you're looking to serve up a cozy meal. Our recipe for shepherd's pie calls for peas and carrots, but you can choose any of your favorite veggies. Try parsnips and pumpkins for a delightful wintertime combo, or zucchini and green beans during the warmer months. While shepherd's pie is filling on its own, it also pairs well with a simple veggie side dish, refreshing salad, braised cabbage or crusty bread for a complete spread that’s great for a crowd or St. Patrick’s Day feast.
