- 1 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Powder

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions
- Mix all ingredients, except oil, in large bowl until well blended.
- Pour 1/2 inch of oil into large deep heavy skillet. Heat on medium-high heat. Drop potato mixture by 1/4 cup-fuls into skillet. Cook 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown, turning once, flattening slightly with the back of a spoon after turning. Drain on paper towels. Keep warm. Repeat with remaining potato mixture.
- Garnish latkes with chopped fresh parsley or chives, if desired. Serve with sour cream and applesauce.
