- Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium-high heat. Add oats; cook and stir about 3 minutes or until fragrant and toasty. Stir in water and salt; bring to boil.
- Reduce heat to simmer. Stir in half-and-half and 1/4 cup of the Maple Brown Sugar. Cover. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Refrigerate overnight (about 8 to 10 hours).
- When ready to serve, mix apple, pear and remaining 1 tablespoon Sugar. If desired, reheat oatmeal on the stovetop on medium-low heat or microwave. Divide oatmeal into serving bowls or jars and top with apple mixture, cranberries, pecans and toasted coconut to serve. Sprinkle with additional Finishing Sugar, if desired.
