Baked Alaska Meat Loaf

An all-time family favorite! Savory meat loaf with mashed potatoes and cheese on top.

Serves: Makes 6 servings.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix Gravy Mix, ground beef, minced onion and pepper in large bowl. Shape into a loaf, 2 inches high, in shallow baking pan.

  • Stir chives into prepared mashed potatoes. Spread over meat loaf.

  • Bake 55 minutes or until cooked through. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 2 minutes longer or until cheese melts.

    One of a few dishes the whole family enjoys. I have a very picky eater and she can't seem to get enough. ;-)

    Made this last night - was a snap to prepare and everyone enjoyed it. I used slices of cheddar on top until they melted. Will make it again for sure!

    am i suppose to cover with tinfoil? kinda worried i can hear it sizzling? wont it burn the potatoes? o'well i guess i will have to let you know.
