“Just like the previous review, I don't know what you people are talking about. This is my favorite and now it's been removed. I was buying it all of the time, boxes and boxes. I lived and grew up in the heart of Cajun country, in Ope......., LA and this was so close to the home cooking of red beans and rice with sausage. I live on the upper east coast now and it was so fabulous to be able to get something from home. Just freeze and place it in the microwave. I took one for lunch every day to work and sometimes ate it on the weekends. Please begin selling this variety again. You had a lot of great customers purchasing it. If I would have known that it was being removed, I would have tried to buy triple the amount I normally purchased each month. My freezer would have had only red beans and rice with sausage. I can't even find one box where I live now. I bought eleven early last week, eight from Safeway and about two or three from Shoppers food, which is all they had left at that time. They said they would not be carrying this one any longer. Thank you everyone for spoiling it for others. ”

  • I don't get all of the bad reviews. I buy this regularly and like it quite a bit. I've never found any mold or dirt and there's always 6 pieces of sausage. It's just as good as making it from the box and a lot less work. I add crumbled bacon to it for a little extra flavor. I get it at Fry's in Tempe, AZ. Maybe the issue is the stores the reviewers bought it from.

  • I think you all must be very proud of your false advertising! The picture on the front of the box shows 5 or 6 pieces on sausage. I opened my first box to only 1 little piece of sausage. It was pretty tasty but don't plan on my return business!

  • I use to like Zatarans products. Now I don't want to buy them any more. Bought 2 boxes of frozen Red Beans & rice from Wal-Mart in Phoenix area. It was completely Horrible. Once I started the micro wave I noticed the smell of mold. I was extremely hungry at the time so I tried to stomach a little and guess what?!?!!? I found myself crunch on sand. MOLDY SAND!! I just had to throw it all away. What has happened to the company? That's the worst thing I ever put in my mouth. New Orleans culture has never been like that. Don't they even do product checks anymore??

  • STAY AWAY FROM THE DISGUSTING RICE! Its covered in dirt (i'm serious) and it should really undergo a health inspection. Never will i eat this again.
