LONG GRAIN PARBOILED RICE ENRICHED WITH FERRIC ORTHOPHOSPHATE (IRON), NIACIN, THIAMINE MONONITRATE (THIAMINE), AND FOLATE.
1/4 cup (47g) = about 1 cup cooked
All parboiled (semi-cooked) rice is not created equal! I've tried a wide variety, from Uncle Ben's, the most common, to smaller brands, and, without exception, Zatarain's is a much better product for me because it has all of the body of a good long-grain, and the flavor that often gets lost in parboiled rice made from less selective grains of rice. There's also something in the way that rice is parboiled. It's a pretty basic process, but control of time, as well as sourcing top crops, does make a difference, and here, on both counts, Zatarain's differentiates itself.
