  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 teaspoons McCormick® Spicy Sicilian Style Seasoning, divided, plus additional for sprinkling
  • 6 to 8 ounces firm, part-skim mozzarella cheese, cut into 12 (1-inch) cubes
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 12 slider rolls
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix ground beef, ground pork, eggs, onion, breadcrumbs, salt and 4 teaspoons of Seasoning in large bowl until well blended. Shape into 12 meatballs.
  2. Press 1 mozzarella cheese cube into the center of each meatball, forming meatball around the cheese to completely enclose it. Place in 13x9-inch baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over meatballs and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and additional Seasoning.
  3. Bake 30 to 45 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. 
  4. Meanwhile, mix butter with remaining 2 teaspoons of Seasoning in small bowl. Brush tops of slider rolls with butter mixture. Place on large shallow foil-lined sheet pan. Bake slider rolls 2 to 3 minutes till heated through. 
  5. Serve meatballs on slider rolls with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
