Hot Crab Dip with Stubb's Sweet Heat Bar-B-Q Sauce

Note this dip can also be mixed and served cold or at room temperature without baking first. This recipe was developed for Stubb’s by Katie, of Culinary Pirate.

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Stubb's Sweet Heat Bar-B-Q Sauce, or more to taste
  • 1/2 medium white or yellow onion, diced
  • 1 large celery stick, diced
  • 3 scallions, sliced, plus more for garnish
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, lump or claw meat (canned or in refrigerated seafood section)
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan or Cheddar cheese, plus 1/4 for topping
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crackers or chips for serving
  • Pour the mixture into a medium-sized baking dish (8x8 inch square or similar) and bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Top with extra cheese and return to oven for 5 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
  • Let cool down for a few minutes before serving. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350° degrees.
  • 2 Pour the mixture into a medium-sized baking dish (8x8 inch square or similar) and bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Top with extra cheese and return to oven for 5 minutes to allow the cheese to melt.
  • 3 Let cool down for a few minutes before serving. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.
