Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken, onion, bell pepper, garlic salt and pepper; cook and stir 5 to 7 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning and sugar. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Serve over cooked pasta and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
This dish was "OK" however it's a bit weak on the flavor profile unless you like bland tomato based foods, however it was very easy to make and cooked in less than 25 minutes. Served it over whole wheat spaghetti and with a little "doctoring" up with some Italian seasonings it tasted very good. I will certainly make it again but will use Italian seasoned tomato's the next time which I'm sure will be just the right pick me up for my taste buds!
