Tomato, Garlic & Basil Marinade
Makes 2/3 cup marinade.
1 package Grill Mates® Tomato, Garlic & Basil Marinade
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil
2 tablespoons white or balsamic vinegar
2 pounds chicken, shrimp or beef
1. Mix Marinade Mix, water, oil and vinegar in small bowl. Reserve 2 tablespoons marinade for basting. Place meat or seafood in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add remaining marinade; turn to coat well.
2. Refrigerate 15 minutes or longer for extra flavor. (Marinate seafood no longer than 30 minutes.) Remove from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade.
3. Grill, broil or bake until desired doneness, basting with reserved marinade halfway through cooking. Discard remaining marinade.
Zesty Tomato Marinade: Use 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard instead of vinegar, and add 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Continue with Steps 2 and 3 above.
SALT, TOMATO, GARLIC, MODIFIED CORN STARCH, SUGAR, SPICES AND HERBS (INCLUDING BASIL), TOMATO CONCENTRATE, BUTTER [CREAM (MILK), SALT], CULTURED PART-SKIM COW'S MILK, NONFAT DRY MILK, CITRIC ACID, VEGETABLE OIL (OLIVE, COCONUT, CANOLA, SUNFLOWER, RICE BRAN), EXTRACTIVES OF PAPRIKA, NATURAL FLAVOR, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, ENZYMES, EXTRACTIVES OF GARLIC.
1 tsp. dry mix (2.5g) (Seasons 1 tbsp. marinade)
I save a little bit of the spice and sprinkle over buttered corn on the cob, place in tin foil then grill it with the meat! Great stuff!

I mix this with ground turkey, chopped spinach, chopped olives and feta cheese to make Mediterranean turkey burgers. SO GOOD!

I always use this when I make turkey burgers and it's such a huge hit! Add a little garlic-mayo to toasted wheat buns and it's an easy meal, any day of the week!

On the tomato basil and white wine herb, use an extra packet when marinating; save the reserve, put into a small fry pan, bring to light boil, add some heavy whipping cream and fat free half & half to soften up the intensity, whisk vigorously, bring back to light boil while whisking for about another minute, then serve over the grilled meat.
