Tomato, Garlic & Basil Marinade
Makes 2/3 cup marinade.
1 package Grill Mates® Tomato, Garlic & Basil Marinade
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil
2 tablespoons white or balsamic vinegar
2 pounds chicken, shrimp or beef
1. Mix Marinade Mix, water, oil and vinegar in small bowl. Reserve 2 tablespoons marinade for basting. Place meat or seafood in large resealable plastic bag or glass dish. Add remaining marinade; turn to coat well.
2. Refrigerate 15 minutes or longer for extra flavor. (Marinate seafood no longer than 30 minutes.) Remove from marinade. Discard any remaining marinade.
3. Grill, broil or bake until desired doneness, basting with reserved marinade halfway through cooking. Discard remaining marinade.
Zesty Tomato Marinade: Use 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard instead of vinegar, and add 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Continue with Steps 2 and 3 above.
SALT, TOMATO, GARLIC, MODIFIED CORN STARCH, SUGAR, SPICES AND HERBS (INCLUDING BASIL), TOMATO CONCENTRATE, BUTTER [CREAM (MILK), SALT], CULTURED PART-SKIM COW'S MILK, NONFAT DRY MILK, CITRIC ACID, VEGETABLE OIL (OLIVE, COCONUT, CANOLA, SUNFLOWER, RICE BRAN), EXTRACTIVES OF PAPRIKA, NATURAL FLAVOR, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, ENZYMES, EXTRACTIVES OF GARLIC.
1 tsp. dry mix (2.5g) (Seasons 1 tbsp. marinade)
