How to Make Green Bean Casserole

This simple holiday favorite is creamy, crunchy, and ready in just 40 minutes.


Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix cream of mushroom soup, milk and pepper in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Stir in green beans and 2/3 cup Crispy Fried Onions.


Step 2

Bake 30 minutes or until hot. Stir.

Step 3

Top with remaining 2/3 cup Crispy Fried Onions. Bake 5 minutes until onions are golden brown.

Want to mix it up with a different veggie? Substitute the same amount of broccoli or cauliflower florets in place of the green beans! Simply steam fresh or frozen broccoli or cauliflower until tender-crisp, then prepare recipe as directed.  
• Stir in 1 tablespoon Frank’s RedHot Sauce along with mushroom soup for a little extra kick of heat.
• Mix 1/2 cup grated or shredded Parmesan cheese with Crispy Fried Veg topping for a boost of savory flavor.
• Stir 1/3 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese into your green bean mixture to make this dish extra oooey-gooey. Go ahead and sprinkle a little on top, too. Who doesn’t love more cheese?
• Don’t be shy about adding more veggies! 1/2 cup of corn or thinly sliced carrots make great additions.
