How to Cut an Onion — No Tears, No Fuss!
Slice off the stem end, but leave the root intact—it holds everything together.
Cut the onion in half, straight through the root. This makes peeling way easier.
Place the onion flat-side down. Make a few horizontal cuts toward the root—be careful not to slice all the way through.
Now slice down vertically, again stopping just before the root.
Finally, slice across and you have the perfect diced onion.
