Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Spray mini ring donut pan generously with no stick cooking spray. Set aside. Mix baking mix, granulated sugar, milk, egg and vanilla in medium bowl until well blended. Spoon batter into prepared pan, using about 1 tablespoon batter for each ring.
  2. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until puffed and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans 2 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire racks.
  3. Meanwhile, Spoon frosting into microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH 20 to 30 seconds, stirring every 10 seconds. (Frosting should be a pourable consistency.)
  4. Dip tops of cooled cakes into frosting, allowing excess to drip off before turning right-side-upPlace on sheet pan lined with parchment. Let stand 2 minutes. Sprinkle with Finishing Sugar. Let stand until frosting is set. 

 

Test Kitchen Tips:  
  • Don’t have a mini donut pan? Use mini muffin pan instead, filling no more than two-thirds full. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes  
  • To glaze instead, whisk 4 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar, 1/2 cup milk, and 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract in medium bowl until well blended and smooth. Coat warm cakes in glaze and sprinkle immediately with Finishing Sugar.
