- Preheat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in large ovenproof skillet on medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir 2 minutes or until softened. Add milk, water and Seasoning Mix; whisk until mixture is smooth.
- Stir in chicken and vegetables. Bring to boil. Remove skillet from heat.
- Roll out pie crust, stretching just enough to cover mixture in skillet. Place on top of pot pie mixture. Use a small sharp knife to cut several slits in pie crust. Place skillet on middle oven rack.
- Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Test Kitchen Tips:
- Substitute 1 can (7.5 ounces) refrigerated biscuits in place of pie crust. Separate biscuits and place on top of pot pie mixture in skillet. Bake 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
- Substitute cooked turkey in place of the chicken. Prepared as directed.
