  • One Spice Aioli
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons One Spice Seasoning from McCormick® One Piece Spice Kit
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Seared Fish
  • 1 pound fresh cod, cut into 2-inch cubes - Substituteshalibut fillets
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Sea Salt Grinder
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. For the Aioli, mix all ingredients in small bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. For the Seared Fish, season fish evenly with salt and pepper. Dip each piece of fish, top and bottom only, in flour, shaking off any excess. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat until shimmering. Working in batches as needed, add fish; cook about 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through; fish should flake easily with a fork. Transfer to wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain.   
  4. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the Aioli onto serving plate, spreading into a small circle. Top with fish. Serve immediately.
