  • 3 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2/3 cup prepared kimchi, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 3 cups cold cooked rice
  • 1 package McCormick® Hibachi Chicken & Rice Seasoning Mix
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 green onions, green parts only, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in large skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove with slotted spoon, reserving oil in skillet; set aside. Add kimchi and onion; cook and stir 3 minutes or until onion is softened. 
  2. Add oil, rice, Seasoning Mix and soy sauce; stir-fry 3 minutes. Return bacon to skillet. Stir-fry 1 minute longer or until heated through.
  3. Sprinkle with green onion. Serve with extra kimchi and top with a fried egg, if desired.

  • Substitute 1 cup diced SPAM®, ham or cooked chicken for the bacon.
  • Garnish with seaweed, toasted sesame seeds or chili crisp, if desired.
