- Preheat oven to 400°F. Place 2 layers of paper towels on a microwave-safe plate. Place bacon in a single layer on paper towels. Cover with 1 layer of paper towel. Microwave on HIGH 2 to 3 minutes or until bacon is partially cooked. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Toss asparagus with oil in a large bowl. Sprinkle with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt, tossing to coat. Divide asparagus evenly into 8 bundles. Wrap 1 piece of bacon around the center of each asparagus bundle, tucking in ends to secure. Place on a foil-lined shallow baking pan.
