Pomegranate, Fig and Cranberry Compote

Serve this sweet, spiced fruit sauce with holiday turkey, chicken or roast pork. Or, top desserts such as pound cake, angel food cake or ice cream.

  • Bring pomegranate juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, vanilla and orange peel to simmer in medium saucepan, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved

  • Stir in pears, figs and cranberries. Cook 5 to 10 minutes or until cranberries are plump and liquid is slightly thickened. Cover

  • Refrigerate until ready to serve
