This slow cooker chili will be a surefire hit for pot luck suppers and tailgate parties.
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 package McCormick® Slow Cookers Chili Seasoning
2 cans (14 1/2 ounces each) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cans (16 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (15 1/2 ounces) tomato sauce
Brown ground beef or turkey in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.
Place cooked beef, Seasoning Mix, tomatoes, beans and tomato sauce in slow cooker. Stir until well mixed. Cover.
Cook 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH. Stir before serving.
For best results, do not remove cover during cooking.
(Amount per serving)
I used the non slow cooker packs last night and it worked fine. Note that the non-slow cooker version only seasons half the volume (4 instead of 8 cup servings), so if you follow the recipe above, you'll probably want to use two non slow cooker packets. (I halved the recipe since I only had one packet. I cooked at low for 8 hours. In future, I might try cutting the half recipe to low 6 or 4 hours as my wife thought the beef was a little over cooked).

I thought I was good.
My first time making Chili and it was great!! I used ground turkey and the sweet onion/basil garlic oregano diced tomatoes..............This will definitely be my snow day meal, lol
My 23-year-old son made this tonight and he turned it into chili cheese fries! Delicious and so easy to make!!!!
Love Slow Cooker Chili. I've used the seasoning packet, as well as just McCorrmick's Chili powder and my own seasoning. Hubby and I always do the combo of ground beef and ground turkey. I do the basic seasoning of meat of the 1tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, fresh onion and garlic to taste, when I fry the meat. You need to remember that this is going to slow cook, so don't over fry your meat. Canned fire roasted diced tomatoes work well with this too. Yummy!
this chili is the best that I have ever had before!!!! it has become my favorite :)
