Smoky Mesquite Sausage & Cornbread

One skillet. All the flavor. Think sweet ‘n smoky. With McCormick® Grill Mates® Mesquite Smoked Sausage, beans, corn bread and cheesy-goodness. Serve it for breakfast, lunch, dinner or in between.

  • Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add sausage, bell pepper and onion; cook and stir 5 minutes. Stir in beans, tomatoes and tomato sauce. Bring to boil on medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup of the cheese. Set aside.

  • Prepare corn muffin mix as directed on package. Drop small spoonfuls of batter over sausage mixture. Cover.

  • Cook on medium-low heat 15 minutes or until corn bread is cooked through. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheese. Cover. Cook on low heat until cheese is melted.
