Classic Streusel Topping

Use this streusel topping for fruit pies, crisps or coffee cakes. If desired, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans can be used in addition to or in place of the oats.

  • Mix flour, brown sugar and cinnamon sugar in medium bowl.

  • Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats.

  • Sprinkle over fruit pie, crisp or coffee cake. Bake as directed on recipe.
