A traditional blend, combining the flavors of mushrooms, garlic, basil, oregano and paprika.

YOU WILL NEED
1 pkg. McCormick® Italian-Style Spaghetti Sauce Mix
2¼ cups water
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste*
1 tbsp. oil or butter (optional)
8 oz. spaghetti or other pasta, cooked and drained
Substitution: Use 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce in place of tomato paste AND reduce water to 1½ cups.
STIR Sauce Mix, water, tomato paste and oil in medium saucepan until well blended.
BRING to boil; cover. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over pasta.
For Thicker Sauce: Reduce water to 1¾ cups if using tomato paste. Reduce water to 1 cup water if using tomato sauce.
USAGE
Meat Sauce: Brown 1/2 lb. lean ground beef or turkey in medium skillet. Drain fat. Stir in Sauce Mix, water, tomato paste and oil. Cook as directed.
