MAKE IT A MEAL!
Stir bite-size cooked meat and/or vegetables into heated rice to create a flavorful meal. Here are some suggestions to get you started:
COOKED MEAT: smoked sausage, andouille sausage, ham, chicken or shrimp.
COOKED VEGETABLES: bell peppers, onions, celery, or other mixed vegetables.
COOKED ENRICHED LONG GRAIN RICE (WATER, RICE, IRON, NIACIN, THIAMINE MONONITRATE, FOLIC ACID), RED BEANS, GREEN AND RED BELL PEPPERS, SOYBEAN OIL, SEA SALT, SOY SAUCE (HYDROLYZED SOY PROTEIN, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, SALT), YEAST EXTRACT, ONIONS, PORK STOCK, GARLIC, SPICES, NATURAL FLAVOR, CARAMEL COLOR, TORULA YEAST, BACON FAT, SALT.

I LOVE this stuff! I have gone to every store in my city looking for more. I am on this site right now hoping to find a way to order some. It doesn't necessarily taste like the box but it is DELICIOUS nonetheless. I hope this stays on the shelves for a long time!

Zatarain's is know for its flavor. This product is bland with just a hint of spice. No flavor or seasoning. Very disappointed

I Love Zatarin's rices and prepare a couple of boxes a week. However, I purchased a couple of bags (red beans/rice & Jambalaya. I am SO disappointed - the red beans/rice was like paste. (I micro'd as instructed for 90 minutes. HORRIBLE. Im probably going to end up throwing the jambalaya out also. I think you should stick to the boxed products - which are delicious! It is well worth the 25 minute wait to have great dish with your boxed zatarains.
