This gravy is disgusting. I bought this as it was a new product. We love biscuits and gravy for breakfast, we always add sausage, so I thought this might be a great fit. My entire family complained about the smell and taste. They refused to eat it, so it all ended up in the trash. Unfortunately, I bought 2 packages, so the other is going in the trash also.

Horrible new recipe. The older version is a 5 star. This rates a 0 star. Way too peppery and not even a hint of sausage flavor. Way too thin even after bringing to boil. Love the original. Will avoid this in future.

bring back the original

Very sad about this change. We used to love your gravy. Please bring back the original sausage flavor, adding WATER. We were disappointed that there was a change to milk from water, but that would have been fine if the taste was the same or better. Please, please at least bring back the original recipe. The one star is for the fact that we have a slimmer waste because we have stopped biscuits and gravy all together rather than buy another packet of the new gravy. Its not that we don't like as well, we don't like at ALL, and agree that it has a bad after taste.

This is not near as good as the Sausage Gravy you discontinued in June 2015!! And now I have to add 2 cups of milk, which is more expensive and more than doubles the fat as compared to the old product made with water. The old mix tasted like what mama used to make. This new mix tastes like it was made in a test tube! I will certainly never buy another package of your "New" Sausage Flavor Country Gravy!" Sincerely, A very disappointed customer

This is not the same as the old sausage flavor and im so upset that you guys completely got rid of the old one. Why keep both the old original and new. But completely get rid of the best one of sausage flavor!

Do I have to give this one star? That would be too high. I must agree with all the other reviewers. It is so sad to not have gravy just because you have run out of milk! The original recipe was wonderful....just like Grandmother used to make. The flavor, texture and spices were just right. This is a pitiful replacement. Please bring back the original "just add water".

This new recipe doesn't even deserve one star. It is horrible, tasteless and thin. Doesn't compare to the old recipe. I will be sure to steer clear of this product in the future.

UGH! Horrible stuff. I used to buy a lot of this. It had a nice flavor and actually tasted like sausage. That was the old formula where you added water, not milk. This new "just add milk" formula is disgusting. It has no sausage flavor whatsoever and tastes like an over-peppered pepper gravy.
