Heat oven to 350°F. Fit piecrust into a 9-inch pie plate.
In a large bowl, lightly beat eggs. Stir in corn syrup, granulated and dark-brown sugar and vanilla until combined. Stir in 1-1/2 cups of the pecans and the chocolate chips. Pour into pie shell and scatter the remaining 1/2 cup pecans over the top.
Bake at 350°F for 55 minutes or until knife inserted between center and rim tests clean. Cool on rack to room temperature.
