Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 13-by-9-inch baking pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper; set aside.
Beat oil, butter and molasses In a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until combined. Add brown sugar and beat until smooth. Add pumpkin, beating until combined. Beat in egg, egg white and vanilla until combined. In a medium bowl, combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, flaxseed meal, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg and allspice. Add to sugar mixture, beating just until flour mixture is moistened.
Spread batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into squares.
